Usually Inky adds GMail or Google Apps accounts without any problems.

If Inky fails to add your GMail or Google Apps account here are some things to check:

  1. Inky is not compatible with certain anti-virus software programs such as Avast, Fortinet, or Kaspersky.
  2. If you are using a two-factor authentication in GMail, you need to add an application-specific password for Inky's use. You should do this in GMail and while the GMail web browser window is still open (and logged in) try to add the account to Inky. Change the settings to "Allow less secure App". (

Or... When trying to add an additional account from same host (gmail), Inky may say indicate "already added"

What should happen is that Inky opens a new window and brings you to your Google accounts multiple sign in- to select or sign in with however many accounts you have with gmail/Google apps.

Google may be applying your default settings to the original account you added, giving that message "already added". If this occurs here is something to try:

  1. Sign into a Google account on Chrome
  2. On the top right, select your profile image or initial
  3. On the menu, choose Add account
  4. If don't you see the second email account you were trying to add before as an option to switch to or sign in; follow the instructions to Add the account as an option in Google to sign in via the multiple sign in screen
  5. Attempt to add the account to Inky again and the google account you just added should be available to choose from
